Financial Peace University Program
Turpin Baptist Church is excited to offer a program taught on video to help our church membership and members of the Turpin community to gain the skills needed to control debt and to gain better control of their finances.
The program is a 13-week program and is conducted by well-known author Dave Ramsey. During the course of the program Mr. Ramsey will talk about gaining control of your money by following the step-by-step process for getting out of debt and staying out of debt. Putting together a spending plan that works and setting financial goals to accomplish this.
Dave will talk about the struggle to make ends meet and how to protect your family from life’s financial emergencies. He offers suggestions to eliminate the stress that comes from financial problems and gives instructions on saving and investing for your future.
There are sessions on insurance and how to determine what are the best types to buy. . . and what to avoid. Sessions will deal with planning for retirement and making the right investment choices for doing so.
The program stresses the utilization of a good money plan to strengthen your marriage and to unlock the power of giving to changing your community.
We are now preparing to start a new class with free preview sessions planned for April 5 at 12:30 pm and on April 12 at 7:00 pm. The class will begin on May 3 at 2:30 pm. Class cost is $100.00 per family membership kit and includes workbook, envelope system, the entire course on CD, budget and expense tracking tools. Once the membership kit has been purchased the class may be repeated in the future at no additional charge.
