Bro. Jimmy Reed served as Pastor for more than five years. The congregation of Turpin Baptist Church prays for Brother Jimmy in his new calling of "Church Planter" in Choctaw, OK. We ask for your prayers as our Pastor Search Committee continues to seek God's will in obtaining a new Pastor.

Coming Events
Reach One for Jesus
An outreach ministry of TBC. To be held at 6:30 PM each Monday
Women on Missions Ministry
The next regular meeting of the WOM is scheduled to be a breakfast meeting on January 8, 2009 at 6:30 PM in fellowship hall.
Youth
On January 3, 2009 the youth will leave the church and travel to Amarillo. This trip is billed as a chance "to blow your Christmas Money". The youth will return the same day and plan to arrive back at the church around 7:30 PM after a stop in Guymon for dinner.
Parsonage Work Day
A work day to continue with the work at the parsonage will begin at 9:00 AM on January 10, 2009.
Fellowship Dinner
A fellowship dinner will take place following the morning worship service on January 4, 2009. This dinner is an opportunity for you to meet and get to know Pastor Jason Loggins and his wife Bambi. Pastor Loggins will be delivering the morning and evening messages in view of a call to become our minister.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Women on Missions
Next regular meeting will be on January 8 at 6:30 PM. This year's Lottie Moon offering is already over the $900 mark.
Youth
The youth are planning activities for December 31, 2008. Activities are also planned for January 3 and February 1, 200. Additional details on the activities may be obtained by visiting the Youth Link of this website.
The Audio and Video Ministry reports that things are going well. A discussion ensued regarding the lack of covers for the equipment. A motion was made and passed to purchase some cabinets to store the sound and video equipment.
Music Ministry
Joseph reported that the "Song Select" music that was ordered is working well with all our musicians.
New Business
Permission was sought and granted to re-paint some of the walls in the Youth Minister's Parsonage.
Discussion regarding our bulk mail permit was held and it was agreed that the permit was a good tool to have available. Several individuals agreed to undertake a mailing by December.
Old Business
The Prayer Chain has been updated and distributed to participants. To initiate the prayer chain members should place a call to Joseph Williams and to Terryl Hollman.
The bulk mailing/newsletter is still planned and the goal is to complete this mailing before the end of 2008.
