Pastor Jason Loggins and his wife Bambi joined our Church Family in February, 2009. Jason and Bambi welcome the opportunity to meet with and get to be acquainted with all of the Turpin Baptist Church Family.

Coming Events
BaccalaureateTurpin High School will hold Baccalaureate services on Wednesday, May 20th. There will be no evening services at Turpin Baptist Church on that date.
Falls Creek Meeting
All youth planning to attend Falls Creek and their parents must attend one of the informational meetings. The meetings will be held on Sunday, May 24th at 6:00pm and then again on Wednesday, May 27th at 7:00pm.
CIA Bible Bee
During the summer the CIAs will be preparing for fall competition in the National Bible Bee. They will be practicing on Wednesdays at 7pm and Sundays at 6pm. If you would like to help on Sunday nights please let Sue Smith know.
Fifth Sunday Sing
TBC will be hosting the “Fifth Sunday Sing” on May 31st at 6:00 PM. If you are willing to bring a special for the sing, contact Betty Hollman. There will be a special offering for the Turpin Ministerial Alliance. Finger food fellowship will follow the sing.Youth Ministry Team
Anyone interested in helping out with the youth is welcome. Next meeting of the Youth Ministry Team will be on May 13th at 5:30 PM.Falls Creek Youth Camp
The Youth will be attending Falls Creek Youth Camp during the week of June 1-6 this year.
Vacation Bible School
Our church Vacation Bible School will be held July 27-31 this year with the family night planned for August 1st.
Church Re-Awakening
Turpin Baptist Church will be holding Church Re-Awakening services from September 13-16. The Rev. Joe Carr will be coming from Georgia to lead this service.
Needhams in Concert
Mark your calendars for October 10th when the Needhams will be here for a Gospel Concert beginning at 6:00pm.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MAY 2009 BUSINESS MEETING
Nominating Committee Formed
Following a brief discussion the decision was made to once again formulate a nominating committee. The Committee will consist of the Pastor, the Sunday School Director and members from the Church Body serving 1 year, 2 year and 3 year terms.
Youth Pastor Search Committee
A youth pastor search committee was elected and consisted of representative church members as well as representatives from the youth.
CIA/Missions Friends
The CIAs are planning an end of school trip to the zoo in Amarillo. The CIAs will also spend time during the summer months developing their Bible skills for participation in Bible Bee this fall. Any member that is willing to assist in guiding the children in this endeavor can contact Sue Smith.
Youth
Youth will be attending Falls Creek during the week of June1 through June 6. Youth Evangelism Conference will be on August 7 & 8th this year.
Building and Grounds
The building and grounds committee reported that the carport that shelters the church tractor and outdoor equipment has been moved and repaired. A motion was passed to pay this expense from the church savings.
Audio/Video Ministry
The A/V Ministry announced that they have been working at streaming Sunday services on the church website. The primary hurdle to accomplishing this is the ability to maintain a consistently steady stream within the confines of our website’s abilities.
Children’s Church
Children’s Church began with the first Sunday of May. There were 10 children in attendance for that first meeting.
Fifth Sunday Sing
TBC will host the “Fifth Sunday Sing” with other churches in the community. A finger food fellowship will follow the evening song service.
